PERFORMANCE NUTRITION – For athletes of all ages

A healthy nutrition program is often overlooked and under valued in an athlete’s training regimen. At Powerhouse Athletic Academy, we believe that a sound nutrition program is essential for athletes to reach their maximum potential. The best way to do this is by designing a custom nutrition plan that athletes will enjoy and be able to easily follow.

With a proper nutrition program, athletes have more energy and stamina, and recover more quickly from practice and competition.

Our nutrition program is 52 weeks long and includes 12 half-hour meetings with our nutritional consultant. During the first meeting, the nutrition consultant evaluates the athlete’s weight and body-fat percentage using our Bod-Pod testing apparatus. The nutritionist also discusses the athlete’s goals, such as weight gain or maintenance, lose body fat and increase muscle, or increase in energy level. The next step is customizing a nutritional program according to the athlete’s dietary likes and dislikes.

The right balance of protein, carbohydrates, fat and total calories needed each day is essential for peak performance. Without proper nutrition, an athlete misses a vital aspect of his or her training program.
